Kenya Nights is one of the largest and most established electronic music entertainment companies in Kenya. Its focus is on hosting world-class electronic music events by bringing international acts to the country and nurturing local talent. Kenya Nights' roots trace back to 2009 and increasingly filled in the gap in the limited scope of the electronic music scene in Kenya.
In 2012, Kenya brought Berlin-based artist Nadja Lind to over 1000 people in Nairobi. Since then, the company has organised over 80+ electronic music, hip hop, and dub reggae events and hosted over 40+ international artists worldwide. The company has also launched the careers of numerous Kenyan DJs and artists, including Sarabi, Suraj, DJ Kace, L.A. Dave, Dread Steppa, Sean Fraser, and Max Melesi, to name a few.
The Founder and Managing Director of Kenya Nights is Rizwan Ibrahim (Riz). In addition to Kenya Nights shows within Kenya, Riz has also collaborated with regional partners to host artists and contribute to music festivals and events in South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Mauritius, Nigeria, and Malawi. He has spoken at the BBC Access Africa panel about the African technology and music market. He has also been a delegate for the British Council in the UK representing Kenya, the Indian Ocean Music Market (IOMMA), Lake of Stars, Lagos Music Conference, and Kenya Music Week.
